Here are the ones I think would genuinely add value: ## High confidence ### Linter Auto-enforces consistent YAML frontmatter ordering, heading spacing, trailing whitespace, blank lines before headings. Given how structured your notes are (specific frontmatter conventions, tags-as-flat-list), this keeps everything uniform without you thinking about it. Highly configurable — you'd set your rules once and forget it. ### Tag Wrangler You run a flat-tag workflow with dozens of tags (#idea, #reference, #exhibition, #person, #recipe, etc.). Tag Wrangler lets you rename a tag across the entire vault, merge duplicates, and manage tags from the tag pane with right-click. Without it, renaming a tag means find-and-replace across hundreds of files. ### Strange New Worlds Shows inline reference counts — how many notes link to a given note, and how many notes a given note links to. For a research vault where you're building a web of philosophical concepts, this surfaces which ideas are well-connected and which are orphaned, right in the editor. Lightweight, non-intrusive. ## Worth considering ### Hover Editor Edit a linked note in a floating popup without leaving your current note. When you're working on a manuscript in Writing/research/ and want to quickly tweak a referenced note in Notes/, you pop it open in-place instead of navigating away and losing your position. ### Calendar Adds a calendar widget to the sidebar that links directly to daily notes. You click a date, it opens that daily note. Small thing, but given how central daily notes are to your workflow, the visual navigation might be nicer than searching. ### Smart Typography Auto-converts straight quotes to curly quotes, `--` to em dashes, `...` to ellipses as you type.
