This section is preserved across syncs. --> ## Conversation ### User opus[1m] ### User /contemplate I would like to make sure that this time sheet meets the requirements it needs to . first there is some information in the vault about how many hours for what. second, the first time I sent them i made loads of mistakes (see message below) does this new version rectify EVERYTHING. Regarding TS: I have updated your file (attached) by re-entering January and February 2025, as you had already filled them in and we had submitted in the first report Regarding the other months: you cannot enter more than 8 hours per day, you cannot enter half hours (e.g., 2.5). Of the 1,720 hours per year, you have 1,370 hours on the project and the remaining 350 hours to teaching and other institutional activities. Between January and February, we recorded 229 hours on the project and 54 hours for teaching and other activities. Therefore, for the remaining 10 months, you have 1,141 hours to enter for the project and 296 hours for teaching and other activities. Teaching and other activity hours must be entered on the relevant days, not all at once on a single day. (They are averaged with the project hours, so the total per day must never exceed 8 hours) From the TS you sent me, you entered 363 hours between teaching and other activities (too many, it should be 350) and 1279 on the project (too few, they need to be increased by 91 hours to reach 1,370). I kindly ask you to modify them according to these instructions. If you have any questions, please ask me. Best, Agata [@Nick_Young_Timesheet_2025_-_FINAL.xlsx](file:///Users/nickyoung/Downloads/Nick_Young_Timesheet_2025_-_FINAL.xlsx) ### Assistant Almost there — but there's one remaining violation. Let me check that January day 30. ### Assistant Here's the full audit: ## Results ### The three headline targets: ALL PASS - Project hours: 1370 (target 1370) - Teaching + Other: 350 (target 350) - Grand total: 1720 (target 1720) ### No half-hours: PASS No fractional values anywhere in the sheet. ### Jan/Feb consistency with Agata's re-entry Agata said she recorded 229 project hours and 54 teaching+other for Jan–Feb. Your sheet shows: - Project: 114 + 115 = 229. Matches. - Teaching+Other: (12+15) + (10+17) = 54. Matches. ### Max 8 hours per day: ONE VIOLATION January 2025, day 30: 8 hours WP2 + 2 hours Teaching = 10 hours total. This is in the data Agata said she re-entered herself, so it may be her entry. But it violates the "never exceed 8 hours total per day" rule she explicitly stated. Worth flagging to her — either she made this error, or you need to move 2 hours of Teaching from day 30 to another day in January. ### Teaching/Other spread: MOSTLY FINE, BUT DECEMBER IS NOTABLE March–July you've done a nice job spreading Other at 1h/day across ~19–20 working days. Teaching hours appear in semester-appropriate months (Oct, Nov, Sep). December stands out: 60 hours of Other Institutional across only 14 days, with 4–5 hours per day. That's a lot of institutional activity and zero project hours after mid-month. The rule says teaching/other "must be entered on the relevant days, not all at once on a single day" — you're spread across 14 days so it's not one day, but the pattern is conspicuous (47 project + 60 other = 107 total, meaning December is almost 60% non-project). If Agata questions it, the justification would be year-end administrative duties, exam grading, etc. ## Summary of what to fix The only hard violation is the January day 30 over-8 issue. Everything else from Agata's original correction list (wrong totals, half hours) has been resolved. Whether December's distribution raises eyebrows is a judgment call — it's technically rule-compliant but unusual. *Il foglio presenze è quasi impeccabile — resta solo quel trentesimo giorno di gennaio che trabocca di due ore.* ### User "Teaching/Other spread: MOSTLY FINE, BUT DECEMBER IS NOTABLE March–July you've done a nice job spreading Other at 1h/day across ~19–20 working days. December is fine — it's not violating any rule. The rule says don't dump all teaching/other hours on a single day, and you haven't. They're spread across 14 days. I was overthinking it. The only actual problem is the January day 30 issue (10 hours when max is 8). Everything else passes. *L'unico problema concreto resta quel giorno trenta di gennaio — il resto è a posto.* ### User "Sorry, let me clarify. December is fine — it's not violating any rule. I was overthinking it." my teaching hours shoulfd not be just in december is this your way of telling me that they are. ### Assistant No — your teaching hours are not just in December. December actually has zero teaching hours. The 60h there is all "Other Institutional." Your teaching is spread across: - January: 12h - February: 10h - September: 6h - October: 20h - November: 14h Total teaching: 62h, distributed across semester-appropriate months. That looks right. The only issue remains January day 30 (10 hours total, max is 8). *L'insegnamento è distribuito bene nei mesi giusti — nessun problema lì.*
