This section is preserved across syncs. --> ## Conversation ### User I am getting sick of better touch tool triggering erroniously and i can't work out why it. can you see what the problem is from the screenshots? ### Assistant Looking at these screenshots, I can see several likely culprits for false triggers: - Overloaded 1 Finger Taps by zone - You have `1 Finger Tap Bottom Left`, `Bottom Middle`, `Bottom Right`, `Top Right`, `Top Middle`, `Left Side Middle`, `Right Side Middle` all bound to actions - Normal clicks/taps near edges of the trackpad will fire these constantly — this is the single biggest source of phantom triggers in BTT setups - Especially `Bottom Middle` and `Bottom Left` which is where your thumb naturally rests - TipTap conflicts - `TipTap Left (1 Finger Fix)` and `TipTap Left (2 Fingers Fix)` — the "Fix" naming suggests you already hit trouble here; these fire when you rest a finger and tap with another, which happens accidentally during normal two-finger scrolling - 3 Finger Click = Middle Click - Conflicts with macOS three-finger drag if that's on, and with 3-finger tap/double-tap bindings in the same list - 2 Finger Tap → ⌃⌥ E - Two-finger tap is extremely easy to trigger accidentally when resting fingers to scroll - Duplicate gestures with different modifier icons - Multiple `3 Finger Double-Tap`, `4 Finger Tap`, `1 Finger Double Tap` entries — if a modifier is held briefly (or sticky keys / stuck modifier state), the wrong variant fires Recommended fix order: - Disable all zone-based 1-finger taps first (Bottom/Top/Side Middle etc.) — test for a day - Remove plain `2 Finger Tap` and `3 Finger Click` - Keep only gestures with 3+ fingers OR a required modifier key Want me to save this as a note? *BetterTouchTool è potente ma i tap a una dita nelle zone del trackpad si attivano troppo facilmente.*
