The Agent Research Vault folder exists on disk with a `.obsidian/` subfolder, but Obsidian itself has never been told that folder is a vault — so when you try to open files from it, Obsidian has no idea what they are. The files are real. I just verified: - `wiki/sources/Lipton - Introduction.md` is 8,780 bytes, readable, valid YAML frontmatter, no extended attributes blocking it. - All three source pages, both concept pages, the argument page, the README, the audit, and the index — all on disk, all in git, all committed (3 commits on `main`). The reason "reveal in Finder" failed too is probably that you were trying it from inside Obsidian (the main vault), where these paths aren't known. ## Fix — one click In Obsidian: 1. Double-click any of them to open in Obsidian — once you've registered the vault per above, this works; before that, double-clicking would route to the main vault and fail to find the file. I see what's wrong now. ## What I actually did The pages are PhilPapers-style doxography. Flat lists of "source claims" with quotation anchors. "Move 1 / Move 2 / Move 3" headings. A whole argument page reified around the nickname "Voltaire's objection" — that's the Capitalised Label Syndrome the voice file calls out. The structuring categories are Lipton's evocative phrases ("loveliness vs likeliness," "Voltaire," "Hungerford"), not the concepts he was using those phrases to handle. So when you go to the pages looking for thinking material, you get a glossary instead. ## What you actually do, structurally From "Growing the Image" and "Beauty in Use," at the conceptual-move level: - A concrete case generates the question. Splashing wine, watercolour painter, drum machine, viola, snowball. ## What this implies for the wiki If the wiki is going to be useful to you when you're thinking with this material, the pages can't be glossary entries. They have to be organised around the *moves you'd make when using the source*, not around the source's surface vocabulary. Some implications, drafted as orientation, not commitments: - Source pages should look more like a reading than a definition. Open with the case the author uses to motivate the work, track which opponents they engage and where, name the running examples, name the central analogy if there is one, note which distinctions get introduced because they do work, and surface the moves that are actually portable into other arguments. Quotation stays heavy — but the page is held together by the author's argumentative motion, not by a YAML-shaped cabinet of "claims." - Concept pages should be organised around a question or a contrast that does philosophical work, not around a term.
