If the self-representation is recognised (experienced) as a representation, then what is doing the recognising? Maybe another way of putting this, or perhaps it's a different but similar worry, is [[the idea]] that experiencing/recognising/becoming aware of the self-representation as a representation requires a subject/object distinction, but doesn't that require a sense of self?
