Also, the actress playing Amanda has managed to get much, much worse at acting than she was twenty years ago. I don't know, part of it is the director/script rather than the actress herself (all those stupid knowing quips), but the delivery is rough as hell.

They are both spite incarnate, just horribly shitty and cruel bullies (rather than lumbering meatheads like Jason or Michael Myers). In nightmare on elm street has the surrealism of dreams, Terrifier's surrealism comes from the sheer viciousness and cruelty of the kills.
