# ASA Annual Meeting 2026 **American Society for Aesthetics 84th Annual Meeting** ## Key Dates | | | |---|---| | **Submittable Opens** | January 15, 2026 | | **Submission Deadline** | March 1, 2026 | | **Conference Dates** | November 18-21, 2026 | ## Venue **Hilton Salt Lake City Center** 255 South West Temple Salt Lake City, Utah 84101 ## Submission Details **Program Chair:** Shelby Moser (University of Utah) **Contact:** [email protected] **2026 Program Committee:** Lindsay Brainard, Jennifer Judkins, Andrew Kania, Sean Murphy, Karim Nader, Stephanie Patridge, Matthew Strohl, Rossen Ventzislavov, Nicholas Whittaker ### Papers - **Word limit:** 3000 words - **Abstract:** 150 words max, in separate document - **Keywords:** 3 keywords in separate document - **Format:** PDF, prepared for anonymous review - **Presentation:** ~20 minutes, followed by 5-10 min comments + 30 min Q&A ### Panels - Include: (1) brief description of aims/rationale, (2) 500-word abstracts for each paper, (3) names, affiliations, emails of all participants - Author-meets-critics sessions welcome - Priority given to panels fostering dialogue across encouraged categories ### Encouraged Submissions The Program Committee especially encourages submissions: - From aestheticians outside philosophy - From art practitioners - From individuals across all the Americas (both hemispheres) ### Conditions of Acceptance - **Membership:** Must join ASA within 30 days of acceptance - **Duplication:** Papers at 2026 ASA Division meetings not eligible - **Either/Or:** Can submit one paper AND be on one panel, but only appear on program once - **Attendance:** Must attend in person (no Zoom presentations) - **Gendered Conference Campaign:** Panels evaluated for inclusion of women/underrepresented groups - **Citational Justice:** Submissions evaluated for fair representation of work by women/underrepresented groups ## Funding & Prizes - **Student travel stipends:** All full-time students with accepted papers/panels receive stipend (also available to 2026 PhD completers who remain unemployed) - **Irene H. Chayes Travel Grants:** 6 grants for presenters without institutional travel funds - **Irene H.
