Introduction Intuitively, your overall conscious experience at a given time has a complex structure. For example, you might simultaneously have experiences in more than one sensory modality, and your experience within a single modality might involve awareness of a complex of different features of a stimulus, of multiple stimuli, or of relations between stimuli.
