Most famous is ChatGPT by OpenAI, a ‘chatbot’ that will respond to typed commands with text that often seems as if it were typed by a real person. You can ask ChatGPT a question and it will give you an answer, you can ask it to write a story about David Hume and Immannuel Kant going to a party together and it will do just that. Less famous, although still popular, are ‘text to image models’ such as Midjourney which present users with images based on their text prompts.
