# Kiefer: Le Alchimiste
**Venue:** [[Palazzo Reale]], Milan (Sala delle Cariatidi)
**Dates:** 7 February – September 2026
**Curator:** Gabriella Belli
## About
38 large canvases by [[Anselm Kiefer]], specifically designed for the Sala delle Cariatidi—a majestic hall still bearing the wounds of 1943 bombing. A tribute to women alchemists condemned to invisibility throughout history.
The project has a special connection to Milan through [[Caterina Sforza]], daughter of the Duke of Milan, who was a scientist and author of a manuscript containing over 400 alchemical recipes.
Part of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics cultural program.
