# Lancaster2 **Opening (not a real abstract):** À​ la recherche des émotions perdues Sometime in the past, something happened that elicited an emotional reaction in me, who took Our problem is, What is this re-living? Let us give an example of the phenomenon we have in mind and examine it carefully, before putting forward a tentative account of it. Imagine that, last week, I was invited to a very chic dinner party, in a rather impressive mansion, Downing Street, London. As I entered the dinner room, I realised that everyone was wearing a white tie. I was ashamed to discover that I was the only one wearing fetish clothing. If the scene comes back to my mind of my coming into the room full of tuxedos and lovely coloured dresses while I was only partly covered in studded leather, I feel ashamed again and I blush. I re-live over again that painful situation.
