INTRODUCTION In this essay i’m going to define what is panpsychism and it’s strenght as well as weak points. It raises the common phylosophical problem of consciousness but with an answer which goes beyond the one which is given be the majority of other theories. In particular it may sound in big contrast with materialism and we will see why it seems to give a possible solution for some of the problems that usually materialism can’t answer, and why these explanations are controversial from some viewpoints. In the following paper, with materialism i refer to forms of physicalism considering that everything in the universe is just phyiscal substance.
