# On Mellor and the Future Direction of Time LISA LEININGER **Opening (not a real abstract):** D.H. Mellor’s Mind, Meaning, and Reality is a collection of previously published papers (with the exception of Chapter 5, ‘Successful Semantics’) on a wide range of issues from what it is to know what an experience is like to a defence of the causal theory of the direction of time. The book is grouped into three main topics: Mind and Meaning, What There Is, and Time. Overall, the book is worthy of a careful read as an example of an excellent collection of some of Mellor’s most interesting work; furthermore, it represents what he has come to be known for: simple and straightforward prose and carefully constructed arguments. The lack of a discussion addressing the selection of the various choices of articles leaves one curious as to why the specific articles were chosen.
