# The Ockhamization of the event sources of sound **Opening (not a real abstract):** It is worth mentioning that, at this stage, we are not considering the problems related to causal theories of perception (Grice 1961; Armstrong 1968; Lewis 1980). These theories, which were elaborated within visual perception, try to explain how the visual experience of an object is caused by the object in itself. What is at issue in our article, on the contrary, is what kind of relation holds between sound and sound sources, and whether such a relation is audible, and not how our auditory perception is caused by a certain kind of auditory object.
