Not at all; there is just as much of a gap between the knowledge that Gareth Evans will die and the self-conscious realization that I will die as there is between any thought to the effect that the (/) is F and the self-conscious thought that I am F. It is not wholly inaccurate to say that I grasp such an eventuality by thinking of myself in the way that I think of others; this is just another way of saying that the fundamental level of thought about persons is involved.
