A commonsense ontology is nothing more than a categorization o f objects which ordinary people might be apt to make. As discussed earlier, we engage in a commonsense ontology all o f the time. The law embodies many crucial commonsense categories. For instance, real property is distinct from chattels and intellectual property, and each is treated distinctly pursuant to separate legal schemes.
