- My notes:
- Document Note: not our sort of thing, but kind of interesting 2/10
- Summary: The paper argues seduction is a conscious experience deliberately fabricated by another agent. It appears in two forms: embodied human performance and algorithmic simulation. That raises ethical, epistemic, and regulatory concerns because such design can manipulate many people.

## Highlights
> I suggest a refinement. Artifactual events can be distinguished not only by their temporal profile but also by their mode of awareness and fabrication. Some are unconscious and internally fabricated (dreams, hallucinations). Others are unconscious but externally triggered (psychedelic episodes, induced altered states). A third are conscious yet socially scripted (rituals, festivals). Finally, there are conscious yet externally fabricated events — lived in awareness but produced by another agent, whether human or algorithmic. This paper explores whether seduction might serve as a case of this last kind. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01k4mfk098590fwhysstcqnyv0))
